About the Department
The Department of Commerce was instituted in 1996, having the legitimate claim and pride of being one of the courses that was begun along with the inception of the institution. The department was started with the motto of inculcating new frontiers of knowledge and innovations in academics of commerce to the rural women students. The department was furthered into PG department with M.Com in 2001, and besides to Research department with M.Phil in 2011. Hence, the department has sprawled a platform with the offer of courses range from UG till M.Phil for the women students to widen their knowledge in commerce.
- Department Library maintains a fruitful collection of books, papers, materials, Question Bank, previous year university exam question papers, etc which facilitates for Academic and Research activities of the students.
- Commerce Lab focuses on equipping the students with the practical knowledge of Global Marketing competence and letting them to update with recent trends in commercial practices. The respective Lab has been equipped with a internet enabled computer system, Charts and Models. Here, the commerce students learn practically about Online transactions, Online Marketing, etc.
- Department Computer is used to carry out all department works in digitalized format, thereby the details of students, faculty and other details of the department can be stored easily. Such provision enables the faculty to prepare for ICT modes of teaching
- Department Intercom enables for feasible communication with other departments and prime spots of college premises.
